Hardly any bridegrooms and virtually no brides have their party the night before the wedding.
The week before the wedding is favourite for one-night parties. But if you're going for a weekend of bonding with your buddies or a week or fortnight's final holiday as a single person, it's probably worth doing it a month or so in advance. Apart from anything else, you may have trouble getting the time off work!
Even some of the most outrageous final fun nights now seem to include same-sex parents and siblings, relatives and even in-laws-to-be as well as friends. This is often the time when you find out who really likes your future partner, who secretly fancies him or her and who dislikes him or her so much that he or she might be considering a last ditch attempt to break up the relationship.
Pampering days, weekends and even weeks are popular with brides, and a lot of spas and health farms offer special pre-wedding packages. Apparently, this idea is catching on with some of the blokes as well!
