Introduction to Perugia
Perugia's internationally renowned University for Foreigners Universita per Stranieri is the ultimate place to study Italian. It has flexible, good value courses for all levels starting in every month of the year. Perugia is the largest city in Umbria with a population of 158,000. It is a thriving ancient hill town with an altitude of 493m and spectacular views across Umbria.
The winding medieval streets, museums, churches, pretty pedestrianised centre and two universities make it a lively place to live. It has a concentrated display of the region's culture within its old city walls and splendid architecture.
