Flights to France & French Airlines
Among the airlines of the world, Air France is a giant. After its takeover of KLM of the Netherlands in May 2004, the merged Air France-KLM is the world's largest airline in operating revenues as well as Europe 's largest and the world's third largest in total passenger-kilometres per year. It operates a fleet of 378 aircraft (as at 31 December 2005) and serves 225 destinations in 88 countries. It is a member of the Sky Team Alliance that includes eight other large carriers: Aeroflot, Aeromexico, Alitalia, Continental Airlines, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Korean Air and Northwest Airlines. It is based at the Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle hub and in France has secondary hubs at the Orly and Lyon-Saint-Exupery airports.
